Yesterday, when I picked up AK from school, I asked her if she would rather go to the movie store to get a movie or just go home. She opted to pick up a movie and told me she wanted "Lightening Queen!". We picked up Cars and that was our Friday night treat. I gave AK some popcorn but she wanted nothing to do with it. Weird? Guess she was in a sweet, and not salty, treat mood last night!
This morning, I woke around 6am and dozed back off until 630am, at which time I realized my door was shut. I bolted out of bed, fearing for the worst on the other side... what kind of destruction was AK up to? I opened the door to find her with the Easter flowers she'd made at daycare in her hands... only now they are Mother's Day flowers and I had to make sure they go everywhere with me today...
AK is currently looking over and telling me about the Mother's Day card she made as well. Inside is her "handprint" and it has "sparkles" and the card says "I love you". She is talking up a mile a minute so far this morning. I hope she saves some of that energy for later... we have a busy day ahead of us! xo
