This weekend was more low-key than the last but it was still busy and full. I went out for drinks and supper both Friday and Saturday nights, and went to a BBQ tonight. I pampered myself with some yoga, a haircut, acupuncture and a massage. I also took a "road trip" with some girls to Morritts for an afternoon of sun and relaxation. Mind you, the road trip took about 3o mins... 'tis a far drive for us!
I've also been busy buying a new vehicle this past week... I viewed and made an offer on a wee yellow Chevy Spark last weekend and the ownership was transferred earlier this week. It will be much cheaper for me all around - gas, insurance, maintenance... now I just need to find a gullible buyer for my gas-sucking Trailblazer. I'll miss it but it doesn't really fit into my lifestyle right now. I'll post some pictures of Sunny (short for Sunshine) when I get around to taking a few.
Sounds like AK is having a wonderful time with the Zaplitnys in Winnipeg. She got on the phone yesterday long enough to say "Hi Mommy, I'm jumping on the trampoline, bye!". Bless her heart, she is having so much fun. I'm sure she is getting loads of attention and being spoiled by everyone. I think it's a benefit to her that she's the only granddaughter for my parents!
A birthday party was held last night... see below. That looks like a princess cake to me! Fancy!
This week will fly by... I will be busy at work and it looks like all my evenings are filling up with social events already. I've got to find some time to do laundry and pack in the midst of it all! xo
