- Friday night supper with the Huys. We wanted to have one last visit with them before they headed out on holidays today. AK and Matthew had a blast together as usual. Kevin set up the pack and play for AK to sleep in but Matthew climbed into it too and neither one of them was getting to sleep. AK wasn't interested in going to sleep there anyway, so we were home around 830pm or so.
- Saturday morning, AK went to the gym with Hunter, Jess and Ben. When I told her she was going with them, she squealed with delight and ran to the door to put her shoes on. I am SO glad she is so comfortable with them!
- Saturday afternoon, we went to visit Nicole and baby Ellie in the hospital. AK was pretty excited to see baby Ellie when she took a "ride" up on Nicole's bed and she was very gentle when she patted baby Ellie to welcome her to the world!
- Saturday night, Mike and Julie came over for supper. AK was trying to get Mike to pick up the "puppy poop" but it ended up that she showed him where the bags are and I picked it up :) Mike BBQ'd chicken kabobs which were awesome. Julie made an angel food cake and when she put down a plate of cake, strawberries and whipped cream in front of AK, AK sighed "ooooohhhhhhh" in delight! It was really cute. AK let Julie bathe her while I cleaned up the kitchen and then it was lights out for her with no fuss at all.
- This morning, we had quite the adventure - we headed outside with Bubba and when AK asked for milk and we went to go back inside... we found the door locked. I finally had to stop a lady who was about to take her dogs for a walk and ask for her help. She was kind enough to run home to grab her phone and a phone book and I was able to call and get a locksmith on his way while she was out with her dogs. $50 lighter, I have placed a key somewhere in case this happens again!
- Church was a success today! AK was pretty excited to hear that she'd be seeing "unter" at church. She cried a bit when I left her in the childcare room but apparently she was happy the rest of the time. I think she had a poo while I was in church too (yay). I really enjoyed the service and I'm happy AK enjoyed the time there more than she did last time.
- We headed down to Ramona's to play for a bit this afternoon. Ramona lives down at the other end of the building and has a daughter Hannah, a son Theo, a dog and two cats. Hanna had a ton of fun dressing AK up as a princess and AK loved the attention. Unfortunately one of the cats kept crawling on me and so now my eyes are itchy and I'm sneezing a bit! Guess I haven't outgrown that allergy to cats yet.
- Both naps this weekend were about 2.5hours. Good stuff.
That's all for now! xo
