I know this is a few weeks late but I'm finally sharing with you AK's birthday morning!  AK came straight into our room when she woke up and I managed to distract her with some cartoons until Richard came upstairs with coffee and milk so I could wake up a bit :) then we headed right into opening gifts!  AK was spoiled...  I always overdo it but I tried really hard this year and think I managed okay!  The best part though, was giving AK her new Frozen backpack and lunchbag, with a surprise inside - see video HERE. 

We headed out for breakfast at Camana Bay and had to stop for some photo ops with the World Cup football statue.  Fun!  AK had a gift certificate so we popped into the bookstore for a bit of shopping.  It was a happy and successful morning!

Opening gifts later

At the beginning of June, we co-hosted a classroom birthday party for AK with her friend Hart's parents.  The kids' birthdays are just a few days apart plus we figured early June would be a good time for the party due to all the end-of-school year activities (speaking of which, how did I end up with a going-into-Grade-1-er???).

The party was a great success - the kids played in the pool for a few hours and ate lots of good food.  It was such a blessing to co-host as it divided the work with double the fun!  It was also a really great opportunity to visit with the parents and get to know them a bit more.  School drop-offs and pick-ups aren't the best time to chat!

First visit from the Tooth Fairy!!! Finally!

Annabelle has been wiggling this tooth for over a month now!  Trust that I've also been giving it a good wiggle every day in order to help!

Annabelle was so excited but so worried that she was bleeding when the tooth came out.  Thankfully the wee bit of bleeding did stop quickly, I'm not sure why it bled as there was nothing holding that tooth in there anymore!

AK asked me to write a letter for the Tooth Fairy, asking if she would considering leaving behind this tooth as it's the first one, but still leaving money for AK.  Ha!  Wish granted!

AK was so excited last night, this happened just before bed, she did not think she'd be able to sleep for all the excitement!  Yet when I checked on her about 5 minutes later, she was out cold.  The excitement did wake her up early this morning though! 

School fun!

Annabelle's had some fun stuff happening at school lately.  Last week, the school held their year-end concert.  Annabelle's class was part of the choir and participated in the whole show!  Annabelle was quite cute - she sometimes was just taking it all in while the choir was singing, yet when the choir was resting, you could clearly see her singing to herself!  You could also see her doing the dance moves that some of the older classes did as their part - although she was just supposed to be standing and singing!

The next fun event was the Awards Ceremony just yesterday!  Annabelle received the Principal's Honor Roll award which means she received an A in every class in every term this school year.  What a smarty pants!

ps - big news around these parts - AK has a wiggly tooth!!!  So excited for her - she's been waiting and waiting to lose her first tooth :)
