We all were invited to a friends' housewarming recently...  what a nice surprise to be served aebleskiver there!!!  Annabelle had SO much fun helping our friend in the kitchen!  I had SO much fun eating them :)

Dressed down! 

One of the things AK must do on a weekly basis for school is memorize a short Bible verse.  I have to admit I have struggled with finding the time and motivation to help her memorize the verse.  I got some hints and tips from my friend Jess and AK finally got her first Bible Memorization Award (they are awarded monthly and annually)!  She was SO pleased with herself and I'm so happy that we got some ideas to help us out with this.  The prize is that she is allowed to dress down for a day so she got all dressed up (down? LOL) in her favorite Christmas dress.  

Check out this great photo of AK with her recent flower project.  Each student in the class had to find a flower and present it.  It was a bit of a stress as it seemed like such a big undertaking for a 5 year old, but AK did a great job putting it together.  She did say she was a bit nervous presenting it to the class (hard to tell from the photo though!).
