Skyping with Grandma!

And Grandpa!
Curious George is the Kindergarten class's "mascot".  Every weekend he goes home with a different student, and the student is to take George on all kinds of adventures, then paste pictures and write some sentences about the fun in a book dedicated to George's adventures.  So much fun!

Just a note about Charlie...  what a kid...  he's hilarious.  He and AK were playing upstairs and when I went up to check on them, AK was wearing my bridal veil.  I asked the kids if they planned to get married some day, and Charlie piped up "no, let's get married now!".  So they faced each other and jibber-jabbered their "vows" to each other and agreed that they were supposed to kiss at that point.  Charlie then looked up at me and said "Annabelle's Mommy, can you go downstairs now please?".  I asked him what they'd be doing if I went downstairs and he said "Kiss!".  Too funny.  I did leave them alone for a minute just to see what would happen and apparently they kissed FIVE TIMES!  Guess I'll be keeping a close eye on those two!!!

Field trip!

Annabelle's kindergarten class had a big adventure yesterday - they had a field trip to the weather station!  The teacher asked for parent helpers and there was no way I was missing AK's first field trip so I volunteered!  I found it to be a very interesting trip for myself, not so sure the little kiddies loved it as much as the adults did...  weather can only be so interesting!  I asked AK what she had learned from the weather man and she said "nothing" and that her favorite part of the trip had been the bus ride.  She then decided that she found the weather balloon very interesting.

The kids were super excited to be going on a bus - probably more excited than they were about touring the weather station!  It was wonderful to be a part of their excitement, and I have to say they were wonderfully behaved the whole time.  Their teacher does great work with them!

Enjoy the photos!

Listening to last minute instructions from the teacher.  You can just barely see AK behind the kid most to the right.  She's holding a pink lunchbag.

Standing in line!

On the way to the first bus ride ever!

Right at the front of the bus!

Of course AK wanted to sit with Mommy!

Slightly worried about no seatbelts!!!

Disembarking at the weather station

These kids are so great about lining up!

Santa photos

This the last of the Christmas posts.  I still can't believe Christmas has come and gone for another year.  I was so much in denial that we just got rid of the Christmas tree last weekend...  I have to say it lasted a long time - 6 weeks!

Anyway...  on to the photos!

Santa's legs apparently don't get much sun at the North Pole

So sweet!

Notice anything?  I'm not in the photo :) this is the first year since AK was a mere 6 months old that I haven't had to be in the Santa photo with her!!!!  Success!  I think it helped to do the photos with Hunter first.

How could we resist a family photo?

Christmas morning!

A new family tradition - crawling back into bed to open stockings

Getting right into it!

Santa came!  And left a note!

Beautiful tree and loads of gifts!  We were all spoiled.

Busy busy busy!  Couldn't even brush hair before opening gifts.

Brunch table set for company!

Maddie opening her gift from AK - apparently she loves it!

AK opening her gift from Maddie - it's a cat that moves and meows :) Thankfully I'm not allergic to it!

Everyone's brunching, even Maddie!

AK turned her nose up at everything but the blueberries.  What a kid.  To be fair, she was under the weather then!

Christmas Eve fun
