"Punkin" fun!

Hunter and Jess invited AK and I over last night for some Halloween fun!  Jess learned her lesson with pumpkin guts last year and so decided against actually carving and cleaning out any pumpkins this year.  She found some really cool felt appliques for the pumpkins and also some pumpkin pins for the kids to color.  I had some sugar cookie dough that we cut into Halloween shapes for the kids to decorate.  They had a ton of fun together...  we haven't spent a lot of time together lately as both families have been so busy and it was great for the kids to hang out and for Jess and I to get caught up.

Richie's Birthday!

AK picked this card out for Richard.  Never mind that it was a Happy Birthday, Great-Grandson card.  I tried to scratch out GGS and write in Richard's name without her noticing but she noticed what I'd done and asked me why I'd done that.  I explained to her that Richard was definitely not her great-grandson and we could not give him a card that said that!!!  :)  I think this appealed to Richard's sense of humor just fine though!

On the inside of the card, AK wrote some words to Richard and drew some lovely pictures.  All by herself!

We let Richard sleep in, of course.  This is what he came down to - cake for breakfast!!!

Got all dressed up and went out for supper!
We had a great dinner out on the dock at the Lighthouse.  Mojitos were the drink of the night.  Mine had champagne and strawberries - yum!

The rest of our home!

Master bedroom

View from master bedroom - I'm loving the big windows and abundance of natural light in this room, even when the sun wakes me up very early!!!  It's a lovely way to wake up.

Living room - very cozy!  We have found a slipcover for that ugly couch!!!

Dining room

Kitchen - took a lot of work but it's all organized now!

My reading nook - my favorite place in the apartment - wonderful place to settle in with a good book and a drink - hot or cold ;)

Best view from the stairs - all you can see through the balcony is the water and it's gorgeous...
Lots of people have been asking for photos of the new place - sorry it's been so delayed.  I hope you enjoy this little look at our new home.  We're completely settled and organized, and loving it!!!
